SMS cyclists raise over $23,000 to fight childhood cancer

Club SMS members have raised a staggering $23,143.54 for the Children’s Medical Research Institute after taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge 2019. Captain Bobby Mehta and a team of 24 enthusiastic cyclists completing in excess of 11,000km during the month of October, a stunning achievement that was only matched by their unbelievable fundraising efforts. A generous donation of over $5,000 by the Blackmores Foundation helped the team smash it’s fundraising goal and helped raise a huge amount of money to support the fight against childhood cancer. The team was congratulated by the Right Hon. Catherine King MP (Federal Member for Ballarat), as well as City of Ballarat Mayor Cllr. Ben Taylor.
